Puricil™ Contains...
- Lactobacillus Acidophillus Cultures
The addition of "beneficial bacteria" into your daily diet has been shown to normalize and regulate digestive function and balance. When your digestive tract is operating at its most effective level, you are healthier.
- Folic Acid
Folic acid is a water-soluble vitamin in the B-complex group that works along with vitamin B-12 and vitamin C to help the body digest and use proteins and to create new proteins when they are needed. It is necessary for the production of red blood cells and for the production of DNA (which is used to guide the cell in its daily activities). Folic acid also helps with tissue growth and cell function and may help reduce levels of uric acid.
- L-lysine
L-Lysine is a necessary amino acid required but not created by the body. It helps ensure sufficient absorption of calcium, which aids in the formation of collagen for bone, cartilage and connective tissue. L-Lysine also helps the immune system produce antibodies and strengthens circulation as well as aiding in the control over the body’s acid/alkaline balance. L-Lysine influences the pineal and mammary glands and plays a role in gallbladder function
- Celery Seed Extract
Celery seed has an anti-inflammatory property that brings down swelling and interrupts pain around the joints as well as easing the discomfort that occurs due to inflammation around the joint. Celery Seed has antiseptic properties that make it helpful to the urinary tract and a diuretic property to help flush away the uric acid crystals that build up around the joints. Celery seed also aids in the digestion of protein.
- Green Tea Extract
A study conducted at the USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University and the University of Connecticut’s nutritional science department shows that tea has potent antioxidants; more potent than the antioxidants found in over 20 vegetables they studied including broccoli, cauliflower, garlic and spinach. Green Tea Extract is an excellent source of potent, bioflavonoid rich compounds that are high in polyphenols, which are a special class of bioflavonoids. Catechins, and in particular (-) Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG), is the most important polyphenol and has the strongest antioxidant action. Research has shown that EGCG is more powerful than vitamin E in neutralizing free radicals.
- Grape Seed Extract
Grape seed extract's active part, PCOs, is a key ingredient in one of the drugs most frequently prescribed for blood vessel (vascular) disorders in western Europe. Grape seed extract wields a powerful, positive effect on blood vessels and can infiltrate all types of cell membranes, delivering antioxidant protection all over the body. Because it increases the health of blood vessels, grape seed extract may both reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke and also fortify delicate or weak capillaries and increase blood flow, particularly to the extremities. It also helps to protect and strengthen the collagen in the skin and is often used in the treatment of connective tissue disorders such as arthritis or gout.
- Dicalcium Phosphate
Dicalcium phosphate, also known as calcium monohydrogen phosphate, is a dibasic, calcium phosphate that controls acidity / alkalinity levels and assists in muscle and nerve transmission

You have gout... which means you are suffering from severe joint pain, painful swelling, agonizing tenderness. But these symptoms are really just the tip of the iceberg. Gout can limit your mobility, it can leave you in absolute misery, and it can take over your life.
Gout left untreated will only get worse, it can develop into chronic gout and affect multiple joints at one time. The build up of uric acid (the cause of gout) can even lead to acute and chronic gouty arthritis and in advanced cases kidney damage, hypertension and kidney stones can also develop. |

Gout In Finger Joints
|
Your first stop should be to your family doctor to discuss options like prescription drugs, diet, exercise and the use of medical foods like Puricil™ for daily management of gout.
"Facts About Gout"
|
Gout (also called metabolic arthritis) is condition that occurs when crystals of uric acid deposit on the articular cartilage of your joints and in tissue like tendons.
When uric acid deposits it causes an inflammatory reaction of these tissues.
Normally, your bloodstream carries small amounts of uric acid. But if there is too much uric acid for the body to dispose of, it settles into the joints and forms crystals that may lodge in areas of the body where blood flow is too meager or sluggish to carry them away. |
Gout In Big Toe |
When uric acid crystals are caught in the spaces between one of your joints, the tissue surrounding it becomes inflamed. The inflammation irritates the nerve endings in the joint causing extreme pain.

"Your Gout Symptoms"
The main symptom of Gout is severe pain with 75% of first attacks starting in the base of your big toe (this symptom is called podagra). But gout is not limited to the very common big toe, it can also attack your:
- ankle
- heel
- instep
- knee
- wrist
- elbow
- fingers
- spine
|
|
The pain usually comes without warning, though experienced sufferers may note some early twinges.
Within a few hours your joint is so swollen and tender that you cannot endure even the weight of a sheet. There is often a fever of up to 101°F and the inflamed skin over the joint is likely to be red, shiny and dry.
An attack can last a few hours, a few days, or a few weeks and then the symptoms typically disappear completely.
"Causes of Gout"
Since all human beings produce about as much uric acid as the kidneys can handle, everyone is, to some extent, susceptible to gout. However, some people are more susceptible than others for no apparent reason other than an inborn predisposition.
 |
Sometimes gout develops because of an environmental factor that upsets the uric acid balance. Such factors can include overindulgence in food or alcohol, infections, and treatment with some antibiotics. |
The foods you eat may cause attacks of gout. They include, but are not limited to, anchovies, herring, sardines, mussels, fish, meat gravies, broth, bullion, fried foods, beans, lentils, asparagus, greens, peas, mushrooms, alcoholic beverages, caffeine, sugar, white flour, some dried fruits and eggs. Aspirin and acetaminophen are known to complicate gout. Penicillin has been known to have problems with side effects as well.
"Gout is Common, and it's Not Your Fault"
Approximately one million people in the United States suffer from gout attacks. Gout is actually one of the most commonly recorded medical illnesses throughout history.
Take a look at some of these facts about gout sufferers...
- Gout is nine times more likely to effect men than women.
- Men are open to attacks of gout any time after puberty, but gout typically waits until later in life (gout peaks in men at 75) to attack.
- Women usually don’t experience gout until after menopause, gout in pre-menopausal women is very uncommon.
- You have a 20% chance of developing gout if your parents had it.
- If you are british you are 5 times more likely to develop it.
- American blacks are more likely to have gout than any other population.
So what can you do?
